Great to hear from you as always, Bonnie. The Robert Wagner anecdote is new to me and most appreciated.

Glenn Ford and Eleanor Parker must have been shooting 1955’s “Interrupted Melody” with director Curtis Bernhardt…that is the only film they worked on together. Bear in mind that MGM distributed “Interrupted Melody.” Wagner was signed to 20th Century Fox at the time, so he would have been visiting the set of a rival studio. Wagner and Ford finally worked together 20 years later on the bloated World War II epic “Midway.” “Interrupted Melody” is also notable as Parker’s third and final Oscar nominated role — she emblazoned real life soprano opera singer Marjorie Lawrence’s agonizing struggle with polio.
